My old band, Bad Days, decided to record this song by Neil Young, for a Neil Young cover contest in 2014. We didn’t win, but we like our version, so here it is.
In 2015 I was hired to write the music for a production of French absurdist play King Ubu (Ubu Roi), by Alfred Jarry. I wrote several songs and performed them in the show. This is one of them. It’s in Icelandic, but the name of the song translates to “The Song of Prejudice.” The lyrics were written by Þórarinn Eldjárn, one of the most beloved poet in Iceland.
This is a song I wrote in early 2015, between theater assignments. I had this need to write a simple, sad song, just for myself.
